How to Help Egyptian Revolutionaries without Leaving Your Couch
January 28, 2012
A-Space, 4722 Baltimore Avenue
7 pm to 9 pm
We'll discuss simple ways that Philly folks can work in solidarity with activists struggling for democracy in Egypt, Iran, and Syria. Join us for a discussion and workshop in the warm and cosy A-Space, with delicious, free snacks! Together, we can help activists in the Middle East access the internet safely to organize and we can help call out a US Congress that is giving $1.3 BILLION PER YEAR to the Egyptian Army, which is violently repressing revolutionaries.
Laptops: Bring 'em if you've got 'em (though there's lots to do without them). And a pen and notebook.
Directions: Take the 34 Green Line Trolley West to Baltimore Avenue and 47th Street in West Philadelphia. RSVP to Kate@aidspolicyproject.org
