Crafting for a Cause

Sweet Charity Sundays

  • Want to give back to your community but strapped for cash?
  • Feel a burning desire to do something but don't know where to start?
  • Want to meet like-minded people?

Crafting for a Cause is for people who knit, crochet or do other fiber arts (and those who want to learn) to get involved with a charity crafting effort.

On Sunday afternoons, we'll meet from 2pm-5pm for knitting/crocheting/sewing and refreshments  to make things like hats and scarves for some local shelters in Philadelphia. The People's Emergency Shelter will accept our handmade items, and I know there are a lot more shelters out there that could use warm items for the winter.
We just got in a ton of yarn donations, including a lot of wool, so we are ready to gather & knit warm winter gear!

Sundays at the A-Space Community Center, located at 4722 Baltimore Ave! A modest donation is requested and will go toward helping keep the A-Space open.

There will be free yarn and yarn available for purchase which will go toward more supplies for the group.

Come out and craft for a cause!
